From September 11 to 14, the International Amateur Theatre Festival RIGA PLAYS THEATRE 2025 will take place at the VEF Culture Palace, bringing together theatres from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Croatia, and Bulgaria.

20th centyry Riga has often been called Little Paris…This play taken place in the real Paris of the 1920s – 1950s. The plot of each of for one- act plays is based on a true, adventurous fraud, which surprise with the level of fantasy and courage.

• Eiffel tower – Victor Lustig arrives in Paris at the age of 35 and disappears from it just as guickly…because, he has managed to sell the Eiffel Tower for scrap.
• A house in paradise- Leonora successfully sells houses in a special place-paradise. Maria will finally have the property she always wanted!
• Diamond neclace- A jewelry store owner gives a lady an expensive diamond neclace to try on. It turns out it’s not safe…
• The Sweetheard gang- Henry is a talanted counterfeiter, but Katrina really likes sweets… They are so young that all the counterfeit money ends up in the sweet shops…
